Robert is a native of Birmingham, graduating from Central Park Christian School before entering the United States Military Academy under the sponsorship of Senator Richard Shelby. As a commissioned officer in the U.S. Army, he earned the rank of Captain while serving as a Ranger in the 82nd Airborne Division and the 3rd Infantry Division. After serving his country for 10 years, Robert held senior management positions at two multi-national pharmaceutical marketing and consulting firms before re-locating to Birmingham in 2006 to found Atlas RFID Solutions. As acting CEO, Robert has led Atlas from conception to the emergence of an industry-recognized solutions provider with international partners and clientele. For his role at Atlas, the Birmingham Business Journal recently named Robert to their 2011 “Top 40 Under 40” list. Robert earned a BS in Political Science and in Systems Engineering, with Honors, from the United States Military Academy at West Point and an MBA from the Fuqua School of Business at Duke University. He, his wife, Heather, and daughter, Starling, reside in Birmingham and are members of Dawson Memorial Baptist Church.
